Workman Comp insurance for part-time payroll

I am an owner in Florida and I hired a handyman to help paint and so I thought I should get workers comp insurance to protect myself when I hire a handyman, but normally I only work for 20-30 hours a week and so far I seem below the minimum wage. Does anyone here have insurance workmans compensation for small part-time payroll.
